#MeetTheWriter: Pseudonym

Sarah Anne Carter

I do write under a pseudonym of some sorts – my maiden name. I was a writer with a byline (published at 10!) before I was married. My husband knew ahead of time that I would keep writing under my maiden name. He was fine with that. It actually came in handy when his military job was in more of a sensitive domain. I could be on social media with my maiden name and not have anything tied to him. (I did add my maiden name as a second middle name after we got married, too.) It’s honestly kind of nice to have a little bit of anonymity online by using my maiden name instead of my married name.

Although, it would be fun to just pick a completely different pen name if I ever was to write something not YA or clean romance. What do you think – what kind of writer do I look like?
