I love to read and here you will find book reviews of what is on my bookshelf.

Chapman books
Steven Curtis Chapman is a well-known Christian musician. I have been listening to his music for more than 20 years. He and his wife, Mary Beth, had three children and then adopted three more children from China. Then, the whole world heard that their family suffered a tragic accident – one of their sons hit and killed one of their daughters when she ran in front of his truck. They had to find ways to grieve and lean on each other, all while taking care of the son who was living through a very traumatic event.

Love-Centered Parenting
Parenting is not easy. There are so many parenting books out there that give advice on what to do and say (or not do and say), but not many address the heart and attitude of a parent. Love-Centered Parenting does focus on having parents take a hard look at their own motivations and encourages them to both evaluate they lies they believe about themselves and then replace them with the truth of being loved by God.

Traveler's Gift
The Traveler’s Gift is in the genre that I like to call modern-day fables. It is a story that tells a lesson. Several Mitch Albom books are in this genre, along with The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. I enjoy reading those kind of books as I feel they stay with me longer because I’m pondering over the lesson the book was trying to teach.
