I’ve already mentioned our two cats, but did I mention our other animals? We have two fish tanks, seven chickens and three bee hives (more being added later this spring!). One fish tank has two fish and the other has about 57 (see pic above).
My best companions for writing, though, are my family. I bounce ideas off my husband and children. They read my work and offer ideas and suggestions. And, they’re constantly in and out of the office if I’m working at home. (Which is why, at least once a month, I go out for a day and get a lot of writing done in peace.)
Writing is solitary and I’m glad there’s so much life around me.
