Finding a Book Blogging Community 5

Somedays I really wish I had started my book blog back in the early 2000s when I started a Web site on Angelfire. Then, I would have been one of the firsts in the book review world. I might have been famous …

I actually wouldn’t trade my blog now for what I would have had. I enjoy posting reviews that my friends and family turn to when they are looking for books. However, I do enjoy when people I don’t know find my blog and find the book reviews helpful. It creates a sense of community.

Each social media platform has different ways for me to read book lovers and other book bloggers, but I’ve found a really neat group on Twitter at The_WriteReads. If you want to see what other book bloggers are reading and reviewing, The_WriteReads features a blog and review from different bloggers every day except Sunday. Bloggers who are part of the community are featured every couple months. I’ve been featured twice – once for my post about 10 Fun Summer Reads and once for post of 12 Books That Will Make You Want to Read More. Each day, I had great interaction on Twitter with book lovers and had a tremendous increase in visitors to my blog.

Finding a community who loves doing what you also love doing helps keep you going! I am glad to find so many fellow book bloggers so we can help support each other in sharing our love of books!
